Dr. Emily Creegan

  • Bachelor’s of Science: Environmental Science (Humboldt State University, CA, USA)
  • Master’s of Science: Soil and Agricultural Sciences (Cal Poly Pomona, CA, USA)
  • PhD: Biomass Utilization (New Mexico State University, NM, USA)

Dr. Creegan is an instructor and climate change curriculum developer at various universities, including the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. Her course frameworks are centered on learn by doing and real-world project-based ecosystem restoration (Everything is Connected: Solutions for Our Warming World).

She also works for a large city in California as a Recycling Specialist with a focus on SB 1383, California’s climate change reduction and organic waste recycling bill.

As the Earth Doctor, Dr. Creegan bridges the gap between our communities, organic waste recycling, and soil and ecosystem restoration.

Services

  • Organic waste to resource program development: on-site pre and post-consumer community relationship building, bin placement, education, and SB 1383 enforcement summaries for: stadiums, schools, businesses etc.
  • Events: zero wasting and recycling services for events (small to large scale).
  • Environmental regeneration: soil microbiology, soil heath and conservation, recovered organic waste products, compost and mulch, soil carbon sequestration as a climate change mitigation tactic, and soil water conservation as a climate change resilience tactic.
